My cactus not growing. What can I add to help it?
Last watered 2 months ago
Hormone growth food is a real help for this. I have had a blue torch cactus for 5 years, and it had hardly grown. Then, the other day, I decided to purchase a bottle of hormone growth and dilute it with water, then spray the base of my cactus, this was a week and a half ago and it has looked a lot healthier and the spikes have become stronger and longer rather than falling off and being quite short. Iβm certain itβs going to grow soon, and Iβm watering it an average amount too. If you believe that there is a problem with the cactus itself, then check the bottom of it - the pads - for rot on the roots. The root system shouldnβt be complex. I personally found that by watering my cacti (I have three and they are all different species) every three weeks has kept them strong. The science behind keeping them a bit hungry is so that the roots search for nutrients and irons in the soil; by the roots being longer and more established, it allows it to grow further. Sorry for that being a whole tonne of yap but good luck to you! π΅β¨π΅
