Leaves turning yellow

Hi everyone!
I have an orange ginger torch and it was looking gorgeous just a few days ago, but now some of the leaves are starting to turn yellow on the edges. Any idea what could be going on? I don’t think it’s overwatering, I usually give it about 2 Β½ cups of water every 10 days. It used to get direct sun, but I moved it to a brighter spot without the strong afternoon sun. Also, the flower is starting to fade… is that normal?

Thanks a lot! #gingertorch #yellowing #help #redginger

@Lechilechuga It could be a number of causes. I wouldn’t rule out overwatering. The plant is in a big pot. And it’s plastic, which is a non-porous material. This means that the soil dries out a lot slower. Do you check the soil for moisture before watering? This plant should be watered deeply but infrequently, ensuring the soil is dry before watering again.
@Ms.Persnickety thank you so much! Yes, I checked and the top 3 inches were dry but I’ll be more careful with watering
