What could these marks be from? I don’t allow water to touch leaves
#KenyanViolet
16ft to light, indirect
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 month ago
From what I have read, brown leaf edges can be caused by overwatering. If the soil is soggy, the excess water is absorbed by the leaves and stems. You do have a drainage pot which is good. I’m assuming this is what you are referring to. Okay
I agree with Peggy. Also, not sure how long Ypi have watered your plant using Greg but I have found with some plants you have to snooze waterings to help adjust Greg’s schedule to your plant needs.
Also perhaps not sure what kind of soil you are using but purchasing a good well draining one may be worth it.
The white spots are probably powdery mildew. This is a fungal infection.
I agree with Peggy as well. I’ve found that bottom watering my African violet works best to avoid rotting leaves and roots.
Like others have mentioned, bottom watering African violets is the way to go! I find self watering pots especially work well
