Should I cut the “bloom”
My pink “bloom” started to turn green and is now a grey-ish color. Should I cut the bloom off?
0ft to light, indirect
5” pot without drainage
Last watered 6 months ago
No, I think you should leave it and maybe it will revive and flower next year. I don’t have any experience in pink quills though
Is it a bromeliad? I cannot make the photo bigger… if the flower is dying for sure cut it off. Dying parts of the pant take lots of energy from the rest of it.
@Vforvendetti it is a type of bromeliad!
@Buddingbotanist then yes, once the bloom starts to die you should definitely cut it off to make room/ energy for new growth! 🧡🧡🧡
@Vforvendetti great! Thank you!!
