what’s wrong with my alocasia reginula?

one leaf (i think the youngest) has flopped all the way over while i was out of town. i water once every 9 or so days and only about an inch of water in the saucer so the water wick can suck it up. Help!!!! #AlocasiaAddicts #Alocasia #HappyPlants #BlackVelvetAlocasia

Hi @NativeTigerfern! I think it’s a sign of not enough water. Because you have only bottom watering it, and the top looks dry, I would suggest watering it occasionally from the top, just to thoroughly soak the soil occasionally. Then if water sits in the bottom after the top watering dump it out. I have tried some of these style pots with my alocasia but I was top watering and then water in the bottom cash pot was wicking up, causing the soil to be way to wet for too long. I will try the bottom watering technique next time I water. One last note. I water my alocasias about every 7 days? But I know that can very a lot with weather, soil, and light.
@nellz4estfairyz thanks for you’re help!
