What is this?
I feel like I keep asking about pests recently but,
I've found these bugs on a few of my plants, but rarely on the actual plant itself, mainly in the soil/on the pot.
They're like a red/brown and only seem to appear at night
All of my plants still look very healthy, no dying leaves or any noticable webbing on any plants, they just run about in the soil/on the pot
And, how do I get rid of them (if I need to) #plantaddict #pestcontrol #plantsmakepeoplehappy #help #helpneeded
@ElliesSheep what type of pot are you using? If you continue to have these issues you might need to bomb the house one day. For now I would suggest using Neem Oil to get rid of the bugs where your find them. Have you inspected the soil itself? Like dig into it? We have bombed our house before due to bugs. We haven’t had a issue since.
Its a plastic pot inside a ceramic one, just used neem oil on the one that had the most. The other plants just seemed to have a few even after digging in the soil a bit.
Cross referenced some pictures and I'm almost sure they are soil mites
Have you looked into Trifecta ?

Trifecta Crop Control Ready to Use Maximum Strength Natural Pesticide, Fungicide, Miticide, Insecticide, Help Defeat Spider Mites, Powdery Mildew, Botrytis and Mold on Plants 32 OZ Size
@FitSedum I've been fortunate so far with regard to pests but I'm curious about this product.

Do you have to keep treated plants away from light like you do with neem to prevent burning?
@tmbryant37 only until it dries. Just don’t give it harsh light or leave them outside in the sun. I treated mine around 5am and they were in their normal lighting by 8am. They were fine.
@FitSedum Good to know; thanks! This product seems a little less harsh than neem which kinda scares me. I've been trying to decide what to keep around in case of an infestation and this seems like a good candidate
@tmbryant37 There’s Doktor Doom Miticide for spider mites. It’s a fog spray but it works. It got rid of the outdoor infestation we got due to perfect conditions for them to come around this year.
@FitSedum Oh no, that sounds awful! I'm glad you found something that worked to get rid of them
Not sure what it is, but for any pests I have I use hydrogen peroxide and alcohol every few weeks, heavily diluted. Hopefully this helps!
