9โ€ pot without drainage
Last watered 1 week ago
Yes its thirsty and the soil might be hydrophobic to. Id check it after you water to make sure it absorbod it. Hydrophobic soil the water will just run aroundcthe sides and out the bottom.
If its not absorbing water youll have to soak it in a bowl or sink of water until the tops wet , then remove it. Id suggest removing the old soil and repot using new if it is hydrophobic! But only after youve rehydrated the old soil. That way you dont destroy the roots
I was gonna get a completely new soil and repot it
@TheConservator yeah the water would just float around in there until it sinks after 3/4 minutes
@TheConservator Look the soil does get wet, but the pot doesnt have drainage holes and I can see roots poking out
also its full of sap, which I dont think, I mean I hope its not insects
Yeah if the pot doesnt have drainage thats why the water floats around. Its gotta push out air to seap in basically. But id repot it just because of that. Succulent well draining soil and a terra cotta pot with drain hole. Is it sap@ir is it rotting roots ? Does it stink ?
If it stinks its root rot which can be slimy not so much sappy
the plant has sticky slime on some spots
and no it doesnt stink, smells like plain dirt
sometimes I would pull out dry roots really easily, I think im gonna need atleast 2 pots for each of the plants
also does it have to be teraccota I know that its porous and good for succulents, but a nursery pot would be bad?
also idk which pot size should I get
