@TotalCosentinia Hi Dena, one of the best ways of checking for root rot is smelling the soil as it has a distinct "bad smell" if root rot has occurred and the main culprit is overwatering. You can look at using a diluted Hydrogen Peroxide solution to kill off any root rot in the soil (about one part H202 to 4 parts water) or if it is really bad, it may be best to repot your plant.
