Low humidity will cause this! As long as it’s not next to a heat source that should be it I think. You can mist the leaves every few days or get a humidifier! I use a levoit humidifier I got cheap on Amazon and it’s been great!
Thank you! I'll try misting the leaves to see if that helps :)
You got the calathea Vittata πŸ€—(not the pinstripe🫒, same same but different you knowπŸ€“)
@SBeezy is right it might very well be the humidity that is the issue. Unfortunately misting won't help much, try with a pebble tray, or a humidifyer, or just put the whole plant in a cabinet πŸ˜„

Also the calatheas are quite some dramaqueens, so there is a number of things to watch out for. Dry tips might also be caused by drafts, sun, dry soil, wet soil, wrong soil, wrong water, too much or too little nutrients, mineral-bult-up. And just that that you got it a few days ago will probably make it throw a fit just because its environment have changedπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Guessing you haven't repotted yet? When you do, check for chockers that might strangle the roots at its base. Place in well-draining soil that also keeps some moisture. Also if you have hard or alkaline water I reccomend watering with rainwater or destilledπŸ˜…πŸͺ΄πŸŒ±πŸ’š
I've been told low humidity but I'm pretty sure mine does it simply because he likes being a jerk and like stressing me out.
