Where to cut my Jade plant?

I’ve realised that my Jade plant should not be flopping over, and online it says I need to prune it, but how much should I be taking off/where should my cuts be so that I don’t hurt rather than help? Also can my cuttings go back into the pot with it to fill it out? This is a cutting from a plant my grandparents had before they passed away, and I don’t want to kill it πŸ˜“ Thank you for your help! #Jade #PropagationStation

Hey @VipForgetmenot yes you can cut and plant the cuttings (just let the cut bit dry out before placing back in the pot).
By cutting you will be encouraging more growth and it will branch from that point.
You want to cut just above a leaf pair.
You should be able to cut at least half a branch probably but if you are worried just do up to 4 inches (10cm) and try that.

There is a guy on YouTube that talks about Jade cuttings. https://youtu.be/0H35wjUZ2Zw?si=gK5-GtyGvCBnKiJG

Good luck!
