ID Verification and Health Question

Question

So, I saw this guy at the Big Box store two weeks ago, and I decided to be reasonable and not get him (despite the fact that I’m pretty sure he’s a #wishlistplant ). Today, he was still there, so he hitched a ride in my cart and came home with me. As a bonus, he has a little cutting just waiting to be propped already 🥰

Question 1) 
     Was I right in guessing that he’s a #FairyCastleCactus ?

Question 2)
    Should I be concerned about the discoloration on the very top right segments?

Yes it is a fairy castle cactus! Tgey are pretty hardy and even if thst part is damaged overall I believe your plant will be just fine!🙌 @ESylvanus

I've gotten so many that I resisted and were still there!  These used to be called organ pipe cactus.  The upper portion could have a problem but you can cut it off if  it does.
