Whats the best planter for ZZ Plant? Also from what ive r...

3ft to light, indirect

6β pot with drainage

Last watered 6 hours ago

Absolutely use terracotta pot. You're going to want to treat this just like your ponytail palm. Don't overwater!! Mine gets water every 1-2 months. They hate wet feet and hold extra water in their rhizomes below the soil. It is a succulent so the biggest thing is to go easy on the water. I have a grow light 6 inches above mine that is on for 12 hours a day. Also chunky succulent soil mix it the same as your ponytail palm with plenty of aeration. That will gove you a happy zz.
@BuffCaperspurge I just adopted my first ZZ plant, too! I have it in the planter it came in, but I did take it out and loosen it up before putting it back in the plastic liner (my new favorite thing for plant ADHD) and into its original pot.
I have a lot of different plant climates in my house now (yeah Iβve become that person) and my ZZ plant has been solid in all EXCEPT the βgreenhouseβ (same thought you hadβprobably not gonna love that) and after about a week I *think* Iβve found the perfect spot. It has been ~1ft from a north/east facing window next to my front door, so itβs actually fairly cold, and not humid, but it receives 6 hours of bright (but filtered) light. Heβs been there 2-3 days and is having a CRAZY growth spurt! I think this is one is a winner, for us both! π€©
