I think my money plant has a fungus 😭
Hi all! I think my money plant is sick 😒 I noticed it today when I went to collect it from her holiday home. She does look sad, although grown up quite a lot!
I sprayed the larvae repellent, anything else I can do?
Any idea of what it is?
Thank you!
Mine has these too, but is otherwise perfectly healthy! I am 99% sure they are mineral deposits and wouldn't worry unless your plant seems to be unhealthy once it's re-acclimated to your home. You can try distilled or rain water to prevent them in the future.
@PlantMompy thank you!! Do you think perhaps the water is just not good for her?
I totally agree with @PlantMompy - they are normal. (: Personally, the leaves remind me of a science project in school with cells.
@sarahsalith thank you so much! πŸ™
It's not a "good" or "bad" thing per say. It's simply too much of certain minerals and the plant is getting rid of them. Sometimes there are bigger issues associated with minerals in water or soil, but they present differently. I think it's completely up to you if you want to change what you're giving her as really it's aesthetic.
