Just wondering if anyone knows what this is?

It goes through to the other side of the leaf and looks like there’s sticky stuff coming out of it in the back. I got this plant fairly recently maybe a month ago. Just started noticing this within the past two weeks
6” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 week ago
Hey Natasha! The spot on your plant looks like it could be caused by scale insects or possibly some kind of physical damage. The sticky substance you're seeing might be honeydew, which is a byproduct of insects like scales feeding on the plant. I'd recommend checking the damaged area closely to see if you spot any tiny dome-shaped insects.

If you find any, you can try gently removing them with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol, and then treating the plant with insecticidal soap or neem oil. If it’s physical damage or injury, just make sure to monitor the area to prevent infection. Hope this helps, and good luck with your plant! 😊
Hi! Mine also have a bunch of similar injuries, but they have been growing well for over a year :D

I always thought they were normal for snake plants but maybe @SnailDivais right, as no new injuries have appeared since I bought them :D
