Yeah. It doesn’t really matter. The plant will produce new roots anyway.
You can actually just place that little guy in some succulent soil and those roots will keep growing! Succulents are easy to propagate!
Where there is a stem, I guess there can be roots. Lol
You can also just stick it into a pot with the dry soil like this.
Mine literally shoot out roots everywhere except where they really should lol
