Should I replant my cactus in a clay pot, I just got it?

Hi Debbie! While clay pots can be a great choice for many plants, it might not be the best option for your Thanksgiving Cactus. Clay pots tend to dry out more quickly than plastic or ceramic pots, which can be a problem for cacti that prefer well-draining soil. If you're concerned about overwatering, a plastic or ceramic pot with drainage holes might be a better option.
However, if you're comfortable monitoring the soil moisture and adjusting your watering schedule accordingly, a clay pot can be a good choice. Just make sure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.
Ultimately, the best pot for your Thanksgiving Cactus is the one that you can maintain consistently.
You don’t have to but it will help prevent overwatering especially inside, or you can add rocks to the botttom of your plastic pot to help drainage
Hi Debbie! What a timely question, I just watched this video from one of my favorite creators. https://youtu.be/WEJkgwr1zw0?si=XUnJiz7whXqYoNjM
