Yellow leaves

My little guy here has been struggling since I adopted him with a yellowing, droopy, and kind of wet looking texture on his leaves. He’s strangely though also growing a new leaf. Any help saving him would be amazing 🫢

Hi @Sunnyhippie little Emerson is adorable ☺️! Looking at his plant card info though he’s getting too much direct sun and too close to the window. Alocasia needs bright indirect sunlight, like filtered by a curtain or another plant shading him and dappling the sun. I’d move him to an east or west facing spot and make sure sunlight isn’t on his leaves at all. They’re turning yellow because he’s getting sunburned. You can leave his older leaves on to protect the new baby leaves until they get unsightly or they bother you too much 🫣
@MariansOasis oh thank you so much! I’ll move him across to my desk so he’s further from the bright light and in an East facing window instead. πŸ˜… Thank you so much for your help ☺️
@Sunnyhippie aww glad to assist!! We’re all in this together πŸ™ŒπŸͺ΄
