Overthinking Soil Type?
I read that Beebalms like slightly acidic soil (around 6.0 to 6.7 ph). Is Azalea mix too acidic for it? #happyplants #easternbeebalm

@MyrskyCeleste well, the ph on Azalea mix is 4.5-6 so I would say yes, it would be too acidic.
@MyrskyCeleste Hello Myrsky!
Bee balm requires soil conditions on the acidic side, with a pH of 6-6.7, so if you live in an area with alkaline soil, such as the west, amend with soil sulfur to lower the pH. Water regularly. Bee balm will tolerate drought, but does best if you keep the soil moist, but not soggy
