Some of the leaves of my plant are turning yellow and some even are dying. Am I doing something wrong? Should I not have this plant in direct sunlight?

Yellow leaves can be a sign that your pothos is stressed and it's time to adjust your care routine slightly. Most often, you'll need to place it closer to a window, adjust your watering schedule, add some nutrients to its soil, or filter the water you're giving it.

Generally yellowing of the leaves means it being overwatered. That’s what I have experienced in the past.
Direct sunlight can often be very harsh for pothos, and can cause the leaves to burn. I would move it to a bright spot with indirect sunlight instead. I also see that your pot says there is no drainage, which could potentially cause overwatering issues in pothos. If you aren’t watering too often, and it’s soil is drying in an appropriate amount of time it should be fine but something to watch for. πŸ™‚πŸ‘πŸ½
