Growing in Leca

Hey y’all! I recently had to prune my plant since I had two leaves die on me. At the time it was planted in soil, but I did some research and heard some people have successfully grown their plant in Leca. Has anyone here been successful doing this? My plant seems to be doing great, but I’m still unsure how much water I should be adding and how often to do it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I’ve got 6 others coming along so I’d love to not kill them πŸ˜‚

Yes! I have all of my alocasias in semi-hydro using leca as the potting medium. I also had two alocasias almost die while in an aroid soil mix, but those and all the ones I’ve gotten since then have all been thriving since being put in leca. If you can get the hang of caring for them in soil, then great, but if you can’t seem to find their happy spot in soil I’d definitely recommend using leca!
