Has Greg helped improve your world? Tell me how...I love a good plants helped my life story..πŸ₯°πŸ€£
Greg helped me help my plants thrive! Because of this community my knowledge of all thinks plants has blossomed into having all the beautiful green planty things I have ever wanted! I received the best random text from my hubby that any #plantmom could receive. Pretty good pic he sent me for someone who "doesn't like" plants huh??πŸ€”... Planted those orange guys just for him πŸ˜‚πŸ₯°πŸ˜ #plantsmakepeoplehappy #gregmakespeoplehappy #happyplants #plantssavedmymentalhealth

I mean, if you aren’t using the word β€œvariegation” in every other sentence-what are you doing? @PlantEsteem
I'm so glad I can actually care for plants now! I always felt so bad for killing them, but now with Greg it's easy and I get to experience a community where everyone shares the same passion!πŸ˜†πŸ‘
@addictivepothos Same! It feels good to have people on your side good or bad. Everyone is so helpful!
Greg is such a great community!
I love that I can get personalized answers from folks! I could just Google it but I KNOW someone on Greg knows and will help me!
Well, I'm sure I'm in the minority πŸ˜‰ but I have a LOT of "stuff" going on in my life that I just can't control. I have always had plants in my life, but Greg has allowed me to DOUBLE my collection (and I'm always on the look out for the next "last" plant).

I've been #SOBER 966 days and I believe that Greg has a lot to do with it. My plants give me an outlet to my stress. Getting my hands in the dirt helps calms my nerves and grounds me. I LOVE knowing that others find joy in plants as well. There are so many amazing folks here and I'm so grateful to the #gregteam for bringing this app to the world. ☺️
Plants were always an intimidating hobby for β€œother people” who had the know-how, the patience, and the time/money. Greg helped me find a community of others that are eager to learn and aren’t afraid to ask β€˜stupid’ (no such thing!) questions. Plants and gardening went from an intimidating β€œfancy-person” hobby that intimidated me, to one of my biggest passions, which I now try and share with everyone in my life!
Not to mention how @RJG and I can be 2x as annoying to his wife now that I know the plant lingo
Holy shit @sarahsalith that is AMAZING!!!! I work at a substance use recovery center πŸ₯ΊπŸ˜ You just touched my heart so much!!! All my office plants overlook the patient "garden"....check it out! My boss just told me to write some suff about my plants so the patients can learn and we can share props with them. These are exciting plant times in recovery assistance...seriously πŸ˜€ I think plants have helped me so much with depression....or lack of right now...and relationships. It has given yet another tool in my belt to reach others in my real life not just cyber life. CONGRATS on your continued improvement, finding joy in plants and sobriety! So much love to you right now!!!πŸ₯°πŸ₯ΊπŸ˜πŸ€©
@DefiantDndylion Agree! Leaps and bounds beyond Google...
@caleb Whole heartedly agree! Never a dumb question on Greg. πŸ₯°EVERYONE is always positive....even about negative things Greg makes that possible I dont know. My guess is magic....but im weird.πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜…
Wait there is more annoying plant lingo to learn?! Where has this been all my life!! 🀣🀣
@caleb Bwahaha!!! Alright alright....I see I need to step up my game. Tip... noted. 🀣🀣
Depression killed my fish a couple years ago; I just couldn't deal with caring for them any longer.

Once I got help and started to feel better I wanted something else alive to be in my space. A friend would tell me about his plants and I thought maybe that would be a better option for me because I couldn't bring myself to go back to fish after what I'd done to my last ones.

He surprised me one day with Millie my monstera, and since then I've been steadily adding to my collection, my passion, my knowledge base, and my friend circle.

The #greggang and the #gregteam have been invaluable to me in my plant journey, and I look forward to continuing to grow alongside this beautiful community ❀️
Greg has helped my plants be healthier and me be more sure of myself to take care of them. As a result, I can have more plants!!
Greg is such a great community. I spend more time on here than any other social media. It has helped me not only keep my plants alive but also control my stress and anxiety. I know that if something comes up with my plants, someone on here will be able to help and that’s one less thing to worry about.
@NMazon @Marthamaywho92 couldn't agree more. So glad this hobby, community whatever you want to describe it as...has helped you both manage your stress. Glad you and your plants are thriving now! πŸ₯°πŸ₯°
@tmbryant37 Depression is the worst and just not caring about the things around you perpetuates that endless cycle. I am so happy to hear you have worked through some of those struggles and are finding joy in your plants and this community. I look forward to learning, growing and caring with you!! 😊πŸ₯°
@sarahsalith Congratulations! Growing things is my therapy.
@user2616 It's definitely my therapy too!! πŸ˜‰
@caleb gave you the best answer cause you made me belly laugh!! Let's get that Greg mug in ur hands!!πŸ₯° @sarahsalith was such a close second as you inspired and amazed me. πŸ₯°πŸ€©
So glad to be able to get to know all my Greg friends a little better with this post. I welcome any more stories....I really meant it when I said I love a good plants changed my life story πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Š
Such inspiring stories, y'all touched my heart, encourage and inspire me every day here on Greg. I've had and have a lot of crap in my life, suffer from ptsd, struggle each day to deal with those triggers, it is this community that has given me a confidence to be able to interact and share what I've learned with others. It's sometimes difficult for me to share knowledge to help someone, because I was always told that I wasn't "good enough", then I get afraid that I'm wrong.
I'm so grateful that with what I've learned and researched I can share and help. It's only through this app that my plants have flourished (except those one or two plants that just didn't like me). It's because of Greg I can have such wonderful friends who aren't judgemental. It was actually my therapist who gave a plant, I had several, but my interest in more plants and those special ones I'd always wanted are the ones I now have thanks to Greg and this community. Plants are therapeutic πŸ₯°
@Sassylimey Thank you so much for your response! It warms my heart to hear you are overcoming some of the things that have held you back through this community and plants. I feel like I can share so many things that people are interested in which really brightens my days. Having the plants I have daydreams about is icing on the cake! I love your advice and always happy comments. πŸ’–πŸ₯°
@Sassylimey and....I agree the response to this post is and HAS inspired me more than you know...
Aaawww thank you Mary, no matter how inadequate I feel, I really try to remain positive and help wherever I can. πŸ’žπŸ₯°
@Sassylimey I feel the same. Greg has helped me maintain positivity despite my personal struggles. I feel like I'm turning into a better person!πŸ₯°πŸ₯°
Well I can’t have a cat in my apartment so I got plants. Lots of plants. I need something to take care of. I’m on disability for depressionβ€” that’s how bad it gets. It’s good to find others in similar situation
@kwanna There is alot of therapy in the act of caring for plants! I am learning that little by little....I started my serious plant collecting to try and keep away SAD (seasonal affective disorder) cause it got me but good this winter. I thought having something green and alive with me in the winter would help....its not even winter and I am so much happier than I've been in a really long time. I really love reading your comments and glad you are in my Greg world! πŸ₯°
