#WhatTheSuccWednesday Digest

πŸ‘‹πŸ» Hey there #GregGang,

Happy Wednesday! I hope y'all are having a less eventful week than myself. On Monday morning, my home office ceiling collapsed. Not the best alarm clock at 2:45AM I assure you!πŸ˜†

The good news is besides some plant damage everything is okay and insurance is gonna fix what's broken. But I'm definitely looking forward to seeing your #Succulents and #Cacti this week as a break from rehabbing my own!

🀳🏻 Drop photos of any #Cactus or #Succulent you've taken from the last week.

πŸ’š Check out all the content your fellow #Greggers post and like and comment on your favs! Plants are more fun with friends!

Thanks for the mention @RJG . I have never had this mammillaria bloom for me before and have never seen such huge flowers on a mamm. And what’s cool is at least 2-3 more flowers are on the way and may bloom at any time now. I hope this one ends up flowering as often as some of my other mamms
One of the few
@SirLiquorice yah I was surprised when you said it was a mam on how big the flowers are
#
@RJG Drew I am so sorry you have had an β€œeventful”first of your week. 😳Hopefully downhill now! πŸ™πŸ»
@RJG @SirLiquorice @VipSeraphina @Jaderainoregon9 I've finally repot 4 different species of kalanchoe and it's in a unique accurate pot that i perfectly wanted it what do you guys think do y'all like it let me know.😊🐼🌱
@RJG Do you know this species or is this a native to Australia?
It’s called an Echidna! And I saw a lot of other β€œAustralian” succulents.
Let me know what you think!
Here’s my contribution. πŸ₯³
@RJG here is an (the animal not the cactus/succulent)
@UpfrontDisphyma it looks good. They may outgrow the pot kinda quick depending on how fast they grow but for now they should be okay. But once they start getting big they’ll need more room for the roots. But you won’t need to worry about repotting again until they get bigger. And watering should be about the same for them all
@laterisers those are so awesome especially the first two. All 3 really, but the second pic is one I’ve been wanting. I almost won some in an auction before but haven’t gotten to get one yet since i was outbid. I especially love those unusual ones like that.
@SirLiquorice Thanks! The larryleachia is such a funny and interesting looking plant. I like to trick guests into smelling the stinky flowers 🀣
@Seymour If you're aloe echidna blushes to a deep red you can call him knuckles if you like.😏🫑
Almost forgot about these! 🀩
@laterisers The first picture slide with the first picture of that cactus looks so fuzzy and the second slide all those five cacti are so unique and beautiful so glad when I get my house so I can collect these species i love the second slide the most.🀩❀️🌡
@UpfrontDisphyma Thanks! The first one in the photo is a clumping astrophytum myriostigma β€œHubuki” . Myriostigmas have little patches of fluf but you can’t really feel them. (I have a soft spot for fuzzy cacti lol).

If your climate permits, sticking cacti and succulents in the ground is actually the best way to grow them out!
@laterisers amazing stuff

My little turbinicarpus pushed out a baby bloom only 3 months after repotting
@Dustmite heck yes! I find that if you fertilize cacti around the first watering in spring they’ll usually throw a flower in a week or so.

Turbs are one of my current favorites right now. I just don’t have any room in my indoor shelves. πŸ˜…
@laterisers @RJG @SirLiquorice @Seymour Have you heard about this succulent?! This is a pseudolithos migiurtinus on pic 1 and here's pseudolithos cubifomis on pic 2 if I ever find these and actually get one of these that'll be just a blessing that I found these types of species.😚❀️🌱πŸͺ¨
@UpfrontDisphyma squaaaad!
@UpfrontDisphyma yes! Psuedolithos are great! You HAVE to get both to have both forms. I had one but man do the flowers REEK! πŸ˜…
@CourtlyKingfern Half my office ceiling is gone and all the carpet but it's almost dry and we're on the up! (First two were 2:40 AM. The second is now.
Switched some plants around to different windows this week. Noticed my smaller PVN was thriving in my bedroom window, so I moved her bald headed sister in there with her as well as the larger pillow feet crinkle leaf. Moved my larger moon silver pot to the living room table with her little sisters. Hopefully, the PVN will do better in this spot. My sedum has been abused by my children's accidental bumps, but he's still holding on. The sedum burrito is sprouting a pup from a spot where a leaf previously was pulled off, so that's exciting. And scored the spider plant for $2 at walmart(I know, not a succulent technically but still awesome)
@RJG Drew! That’s crazy!! And scary to think 😳
@CourtlyKingfern it was certainly startling
β€œPsych” has a few new flower buds, and the first one just opened! πŸ₯° Also, my variegated rainbow (Bernice) has suffered a bit due to the excessive rain, but it still showing her beautiful colors 🌈. Some of my recently beheaded echeveria, are putting out new growth too! πŸ€—
@laterisers I was about to say that but there's also a cactus that has a hairy flower that stinks as well but I don't mind as long as I don't smell near it I could even pollinate it to get more seeds.πŸ˜ƒπŸ΅β–ͺ️
I wonder how tall I can grow this 😝
@laterisers your second cactus reminds me of an owl from the way it is taken.
@laterisers @RJG @SirLiquorice @Seymour Sorry i guss i have to include pseudolithos eylensis as well.
@UpfrontDisphyma Marcellus, that’s brilliant as I just read the plant label and it does indeed produce a red flower 🌺 I was going to do a #HelpMeNameMyPlant but I think you have chosen the best name already! Thanks so much
@Seymour You're welcome.πŸ«‘πŸ‘πŸΎ
Zebra plant :) only succulent I have right now just got her last week! Hope your week gets better!
Holy crap there’s 6 new baby kittens out front and 3 look like they were just born
Not sure if the grey one is the mom of the 3 new ones. She had the white black and grey ones like 2 days ago and now these 3 new ones appeared. Could it be possible she didn’t give birth to the first 3 right away and birth was delayed?
@laterisers omg what is that second one πŸ‘€πŸ‘€
@SirLiquorice I don’t know but I’m really freaked out how they are just laying around 🀯🫣😭
Holy crap I haven’t seen this one flower and missed it the last time it had one. I almost didn’t see the flowers today and barely noticed just now.
@Boymom-plantmom yeah I put the tiny ones in a Mac and cheese box for now. Not sure who the mom is yet
@Boymom-plantmom those are the smallest kittens I’ve ever picked up. I found this online. Cats typically give birth to all their kittens within a relatively short period, usually within a few hours. However, it is possible for cats to have what is known as "stalled labor," where they take a break between delivering kittens. In some cases, this break can last for several hours or even up to a day.
If you feel another kitten inside your cat and she has not given birth to it after a significant amount of time has passed since the last kitten was born, it is important to seek veterinary assistance immediately. Prolonged labor can be a sign of complications such as a kitten being stuck in the birth canal or other issues that require medical attention
@UpfrontDisphyma whhaaaat that’s so awesome looking. I didn’t know you had one of those
My cactus arrangement flowering.
@FitDewberry that’s awesome. My domino just flowered. Weird how they fully flower at night
@UpfrontDisphyma that pseudo is so cool. I’ve wanted one for a long time. One of my favorite weirdos
@RJG ah thanks for the mention!!! β˜ΊοΈπŸ˜ƒ
Here's another pic of that beautiful bloom. πŸ’š
Oh geez, sorry to hear about your ceiling!! Homes 🏠 are our retreat but they can also be a cash cow πŸ’° πŸ„ $$!! Here’s my #WhatTheSuccWednesday Hope it raises your spirits. It’s from the Greg Shop! #GregPlantShop #Gasteria #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #HappyPlants
Here we are for #whatthesuccwednesday. 3 echevaria and a haworthia. They're so fascinating, and I love their varied textures! #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict
All these sneaky ones trying to flower without me noticing
The kittens seem okay for now. Hopefully this grey one is their mom otherwise I don’t know who the mom is.
Where do we send pictures of my succulents that I’ve bought from you and they are getting bigger and bigger.
@SirLiquorice oh wow! Did you make a little blanket area for them?
MY CACTUS BLOOMED!

This is the same cactus that was a pad for EVER and @JCPlantProper told me to use #HappyHappyHouseplantFood and LOOK AT IT GROW! πŸ’šπŸŒΌ
@sarahsalith that’s a cool flower too! Some are different colors with opuntia
Beautiful selection this week. @RJG thankful no one hurt and everything will be replaced ❀️
@Sethmcd.plants great coloring
@laterisers the middle cactus is unusual and cute at the same time loving it πŸ₯°
