@Somelady No itβs not a problem as long it wonβt kill my spider plant. Which seems to be doing fine. When I planted it it was just a baby out of the little nursery pot. It seems to be thriving. Iβm so mad!! I buy a few hyacinths EVERY spring. They are my favorite flower. I love they way they smell. But you get a couple weeks of enjoyment and then the the flowers die. So just throw them away. I never knew they come back!!! π€¦π½ββοΈ Last year I decided to save some money reuse the pot and soil. And SURPRISE!!!! π€£
@Somelady Iβm in Connecticut. You can probably get the bulbs all year round. Idk. I never looked. Here you wonβt see any flowers or even many bulbs any where past August except basic house plants, or mums and such in the fall, and Christmas plants in the poinsettias and such. And Bushes and trees. Maybe an orchid. Even most of our nurseries shut down. Or just sell fruit, veggies and herbs. At the first sign of spring the hyacinths, tulips and all the whatnots come out. Plants and flowers pop up everywhere. And I usually just grab a few hyacinths from the grocery store as soon as itβs warm enough to open the windows. οΏΌput them on my end tables and things in front of windows to enjoy the smell of the throughout the house and then throw them away after a couple weeks. Thinking that they donβt come back. Itβs my βyaaaaaay spring is hereβroutine. But I know now! Lol Iβve been bypassing the ones that get marked down and go on clearance when the flowers have started to die, thinking it was pointless to buy. But This year Iβm going to buy them all when they mark them down!! π€£ π€£
Bulbs are cool like that.
