Is mr Keith okay??
I transplanted my dahlia about 3 weeks ago, he’s got GREAT buds happening. But I just noticed these odd white splotches (it looks kind of shiny) near the base.. and some dying off leaves. Anything I should be concerned about? I’m only watering 2x /week and it’s got lots of perlite in the soil, so drainage should be good. Thanks in advance! #Dahlia

@SuperblyLilac hehe she’s a good girl ☺️ and thank you for the response! We did just get a heat wave, and I’m always cautious not to get water on the leaves. I’ll give her an extra water 😊
@UnbrokenViszsla My recommendation was going to be a little extra water, but you & @SuperblyLilac Carmen have already come to that conclusion 😊
My rationale was that it looks a little like sun "burn" - but these ARE full sun plants, so it should be ok. Maybe you can give it an umbrella or move it to a dappled shade during the hours of 12 - 4.
