Can you tell if this plant needs water?
#euphorbia @HeraMonstera @plantstate Hi so i got my euphorbia snowflake last friday and I'm wondering if you know if it wrinkles that is there an indication for needing water by winkles or if it isn't an indication of it needing water than how many weeks do you wait until watering?

Itβs hard to say from a photo. Sometimes a succulent/cactus is a little soft because it needs water. Sometimes itβs soft because itβs rotting.
Youβve got it in a good chunky soil in a pot with drainage. I donβt think rot is very likely.
I used to water monthly but since I started using Greg it recommended every 2 weeks and that has been great for my plants.

@HeraMonstera Has your euphorbia plant become wrinkled/soft when it needed water?π€π¬
@UpfrontDisphyma It gets limp, yes. Mine is a different variety and shape. Itβs probably not the best comparison. I linked below the Greg guide for your plant. If you go to the web page (not inside the app) there is a tool that will tailor watering recommendations. You will still need to watch your plant for changes but itβs a really good tool.

@HeraMonstera Seems like the useful watering schedule routine I don't know if I'll ever find the changes for it needing water but I'll listen to this schedule tool for now thank you.πππ―
@UpfrontDisphyma youβll surprise yourself. Over time youβll get to know your plant better and be able to recognize little changes more easily.

I always wait until the spikes dry out. I've even waited a week to ten days after they would just fall off as I (carefully) slid the side of my finger UP the side of each growth. It kind of takes a while to get to that point. You'll figure it out, and smile at how effective this is.

@plantstate Ok thanks.
