My fern is struggling! What am I doing wrong

My fern is losing a lot of leaves and has these straggler bare pieces. What am I doing wrong here? He sits on the corner of my desk and is next to a window but not In the direct sun. I keep my apartment at 72 and he gets watered every 4-5 days with 2 cups of water.

Ferns are tricky and looove to be watered regularly. An employee at the nursery I go to once told me that if you miss even one watering the fern will tell you. Maybe more frequent watering!! Good luck!!

Try watering from the bottom by filling the saucer the pot sits in. The roots will draw up water as it needs it and you can see the water level in the saucer.
