Should I chop her?

I have the snow queen pothos that I chopped in bright indirect light and ever since I chopped it she has not been giving me any variation Should I chop it back and make a jade pothos with the cuttings #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PlantCorner #SnowQueenPothos #variegatedplants #NotSoHappyPlants #NotSoVaiegatedPlants #notsohappyplantparents #yesOrNo #SholdIChop #Jade #JadePothos #SnowQueenPothosToJadePothos #

No, I suggest moving her to an even brighter location. With variegated plants when they don’t get enough light they will get more green. They start to produce more chlorophyll which turns them green to help with photosynthesis. Snow Queen can be quite finicky and will demand more light. It will go back to its green and white leaves when it gets its ideal amount of light. But don’t move it to direct sunlight or it will burn. When you move it to more light do it slowly so she can adapt without shock. My pothos do best in my south facing windows with a sheer curtain or grow lights.
@SuperbRaspfern thank you but she’s in the north east facing window and she gets very good light Last time I even got a leave that was almost fully white so I doubt she’s not getting enough light. Do you want me to move her to direct sun or no
Yes, I really would or even a grow light but if you do move her to direct, move her slowly so she can adapt, and not get sunburn. Pothos need a lot of sun to be fully happy. I wouldn’t do more than a couple of hours the first day, 3 the next, just add a bit more each day and she should start getting her beautiful variegation again. She’s just trying to get the most out of the light available when she’s green because the white variegation doesn’t absorb as much UV light.
@SuperbRaspfern should I moove her to my greenhouse or keep her inside my house and I will take it very slowly because I live in south Texas and the sun is very harsh and are you sure because the windosill gets really hot like 90-120 to be exact ( and no not a exaggeration ) if you think so I will can get close eye on her and go very slow like the first day 30 minutes the second 40 minutes the third one hour the fourth also one hour the fifth one hour and 10 minutes like that
She would be happy in a greenhouse too for sure. But, being that they are very beautiful, I would likely leave mine indoors to enjoy the beauty. I totally get it the window gets hot πŸ₯΅ mine is south facing as well and we regularly get 110+ in my area and I can’t go over there and not feel like I am in a sauna. But my pothos don’t mind as long as you have a sheer curtain to filter the sun they will fine. If you do not have a sheer curtain than I would place mine next to the wall right next to the window. You will notice her growth learning towards the light and that’s great you want that. Pothos are known as devils Ivy for a reason! They are impossible to kill really unless you drown it in water and cause root rot.
@Imissmydeaddog Also going slowly is perfect she will appreciate that! πŸ’•
@SuperbRaspfern thank you I guess I will slowly move her to my greenhouse
