Google overwintering geraniums if yoyr interested it will give specific methods and directions
It will be almost impossible to keep a geranium looking good inside. Best hope is just keeping them alive until spring. But tbh the best way to save geraniums is hanging the cleaned root ball in a basement or cellar or even a cool garage.
Hey girl, my dad left me a plant in a similar situation. After an emergency repot and losing half his foliage anyway, Icarus (named this bc he was climbing with all his might for the sun ๐ŸŒž) is coming back strong in a warm NE window while actively losing the rest of his old foliage. They need a lot of moderate light, a sunrise or sunset view should give just the right amount for life sans burning the leaves. I say that because Iccy immediately got a sunburn under the succulent grow light but feels much better now.
Thanks. I repotted her and replaced soil. She perked up. Old foliage is drying and falling off. She's an old girl with many dead branches which I removed. I still don't like the dry and woody stems that remain. However, she is happier with the better living conditions and has new leaves. I talk to and touch her every day, like I do all my babies (of course).
Update - since changing soil, removing old dryed growth and TLC this lovely lady is happy, and producing new growth. Either new soil I gave a light feeding and am careful not to overwater. This pink beauty is over 10 years old. So a little TLC and tender caresses she's happy now. (Who doesn't like tender touches?) FYI I sing to my plants. They respond with more vibrant colors. Sound and touch are powerful healing methods!)
