Wilting away
No clue what’s going on, leaves curling and turning yellow. I got it from #GregPlantShop, I received it the beginning of this month I do believe. #AlocasiaAddicts

Hey good morning 🌱☀️❤️ that looks like either weather damage from a freeze (which probably makes no sense!) or root rot. Can you look at the roots and see how they are?
I would also email the #GregPlantShop and tell them what’s up. I had an issue with one plant from my order and they were so helpful!

@RealSimpleMama yes I’m looking into the replacement policy now. It seems pretty straight forward. I’m getting ready to email them now. And oh the roots looked like this… they wasn’t mushy or black looking to me at that time.
@RealSimpleMama the newest leaf is also turning yellow. When I got it, it did have 2 flowers coming from it, but I chopped them off when I repotted it. I got my email sent out too for my replacement.
@Katrinabrown86 I don’t know if this will help, but I just recently had a fungal issue with my silver dragon. The leaves turn yellow and started dying and rolling up. I cut them all off but the new leaf and treated it with a fungicide and it’s looking a whole lot better so it’s long as the roots are still good. You can try to save that one, but make sure you treat it. Coincidentally mine also took a turn for the worst after it flowered
@Katrinabrown86 good! That was smart. And I don’t let mine flower either because then the leaves suffer. I hope you get a replacement asap! Since you have this one anyway maybe try cleaning up the roots and repotting with clean dry soil and see if that helps.
@Katrinabrown86 I would check the soil and see how wet it is if it’s too wet, I would remove her and check the roots and then I would repot her and dry soil and give it a couple days before I watered her again
@PoisedAlbo I was thinking it was something fungal maybe. I need to sit back and just do some research on fungal infections. That way I will have somewhat of an idea of what’s going on with it and how to treat it. What fungicide work best for you?
My Silver dragon from the Greg plant shop had similar issues. I never repotted it when I received it, so maybe that was part of the problem. It seemed like the soil stayed wet too long. I lost several leaves and some roots. I have moved it to leca and cut off most of the old leaves. I’m not sure how it is transitioning yet.
@nellz4estfairyz I repot the plant shop plants right away. The soil they send them in is dense and is that way so the plant stays wet for the trip. Alocasia are not meant to be in that type of soil. They should be in a chunky ariod mix so they don’t get root rot. If you is still in the original soil, I recommend you change it. These are some of mine in the mix that I use. 
Looks like you’re getting fantastic advice here. I also use Arber (that’s what I bought and it works well), but a lot of people recommend a copper fungicide, too. I know a lot of plants in the GregShop come from Altman. IMO, their soil is the worst and needs immediate repot. Any plant I have ever ordered from them arrives sopping wet. My sister @EZLennyLance ) has ordered a lot through the GregShop and her Altman plants all had fungus or the beginning of root rot. This is NOT to say not to order, just be aware and alert! And repot asap.
@PoisedAlbo oh thank you so much. I have done peroxide in the soil but didn’t know you can use on the leaves ..that is great to know 😊. How much of each do you use for your mixture?

@Aikalovesphilos I honestly wasn’t sure if it was the soil or me. I’m wondering if @PoisedAlbo is on to something in that the soil is intended more for the shipping than long term growing? If that the case it would be an easy fix to add some repotting instructions. I guess when I get a plant in a pot with soil I always assume it ready to go, even though I know repotting sometimes is needed.
