Hi! I'm a new spider plant owner, and the leaves are brow...

8ft to light, indirect
10โ€ pot with drainage
Last watered 1 month ago
Sometimes it can also be the wrong kind of water. Spider plants really do not like normal tap water and can get crispy tips from it. I water mine with distilled water and wait until the soil is dry/ the pot is very light before I water again. So far this worked and I have had only very few brown tips.
Thank you! I switched over to filtered water after I googled it, and that didn't seem to make much difference. I'd love to figure out the crispy tips, too. I'm not sure if I have one problem or multiple problems!
Probably just cut the brown parts of the leaves. Iโ€™ve had a spider plant before and it had brown leaves, but it was okay
Thank you! If I trim them and the rest keep turning brown, does that mean anything? I'm afraid I'll end up having to trim them all off at this rate!
If they stay brown then it could be an infection or bug infestation. Maybe check your plant for bugs.
Spiderplants like to be root bound but from the looks of it the size of ur plant and the pot this guy needs to be repotted!
Thank you all! I'll try repotting her and we'll see how that goes. I don't see any bugs anywhere.
Mine get brown leaves inside in the winter. As soon as they get hung outside in the sun again, they really take off and no more leaf browning until I have to bring them back inside in the fall.
