Droopy Gold Dust Croton

My croton is drooping but its soil feels moist still (though not completely soaked). Do you think this is from under watering or over watering? It’s in a Southwest window, near a humidifier. Thank you!

It could be because of overwatering. The soil could be retaining moisture. Are you sure that there's not water collected in the bottom of the ceramic pot?

Your soil may need a little bit of perlite to help it drain better. οΏΌοΏΌ(:

I'm glad you found Greg!
@sarahsalith thank you! There’s no standing water in the pot. I actually had it sitting outside of its pot until this picture. 4 days ago it was droopy and I watered it and it perked right back up within an hour or two but now it’s droopy again. I just got him about 2 weeks ago and was planning on repotting very soon so I’ll do that and add perlite. 😊
