Welcome to Greg, Jen! How long has it been in that container, do you know?

I would leaf it alone for a little while and allow the plant to acclimate to its new home with you; I would give it a week or more if you can. Then, you can repot it or find a pot with holes to go directly into the candle glass.

Peperomia will lose lower leaves as they age and through the stress of plant-life. It's a natural thing and I've just pinched off the droopers and gone on with life.

That plant will lose the lower leaves when it doesn't need them any more so you'll find yourself picking the spent leaves off. It's totally natural. (:
