I think I have way too many pups on the this #Aloe and this plant is certainly too big to move inside in cold weather. Itβs so cool.
What on earth do I plant this huge thing in?

Hi Mikie! I had some like that! I went to Home Depot and bout a half whiskey barrel- itβs that plastic material I canβt remember the name. π΅βπ« I put them all in it and they were awesome. I even got huge flowers from 2 of the 5 I potted together!! This photo shows my banana in the 1/2 whiskey barrelβ¦
Ha! I love the name! You can definitely divide it and have around 3-4 plants. They are hardy plants! Just not cold hearty. They do best in cactus soil/succulent potting soil with extra perlite and sand. I didnβt get to mine in time last year and it died. Hope you can get your plant indoors! @SillyPlantGirl I love the nursery pots! Donβt worry though, I have drilled so many holes in them that they couldnβt even hold water in the bottom of the sea!ππ€£π€£
@Imissmydeaddog I donβt want to stop the offshoots and I donβt know which one is the mother plant. I have just been taking offshoots out. You come over and repot them for me? ππ€£ππΌ thereβs so many! I love it. I need to post an updated photo. Theyβre green and gorgeous now except theyβre still a mess of a ton of aloe.π’π€£π€£
@SuperblyLilac it comes inside at Halloween. But how? Thatβs the question of the year. They need their own house. I have two of these. One with small aloes and one with big aloes. If anybody gets burned in my neighborhood, send them to my house!π―π€£
@SillyPlantGirl see I have a huge barrel pot but I thought that they arenβt supposed to be in deep pots, Iβm thinking of using that one. Walmart has them marked down to $10 right now.π
@Imissmydeaddog I agree, maybe one is the dad? π€·π»ββοΈπ€£ I think the big one all alone is the mother and the one closest is the daughter and then the rest must be grandchildren? Or theyβre running a foster home scheme! ππ€£ those are the two iβm keeping and have three that grew sideways that Iβm putting in the holes in the side of an orchid pot with some zebra plants and sedum in the top.
