Willow’s baby is really coming along! It’s pushing up five leaves right how and the mother plant is still putting up new leaves. My little potato vine was just potted this week and it’s trying so hard to put out new leaves. It’s kind of struggling to adjust too. Dotti has really filled out and is a little in need of a haircut.

Happy #FreshLeafFriday !! This week I have some fun new leafs! First, my succulent named Swifite (also v happy this week bc new Taylor Swift album) has a new baby next to it, next is a prop from a friend that is thriving, next is my problem child aka my Alocasia Bambino who keeps pushing out leaves even tho she is kinda struggling, next is my mini monstara who has some new leafs as well has been growing LONG aerial roots, and finally one of my golden pathos whose aerial roots have dug themselves into the rug 😗! The Demigorgon flower just opened and the horse crippler bloomed again today.  It might not bloom again tomorrow.  I need to bring the Demigorgon inside to get better pics.  We will see how much it stinks this time. Lol.  Hopefully it doesn’t choke me out trying to carry it like last time.  Lol

My #ponytailpalm has been absolutely crazy lately, my #AlboSyngonium gave me a halfmoon, my #confettisyngonium gave me a new leaf, pepperomia is finally shooting out several new leaves, and my #ficus has new leaves on every branch.

@BehattedLlama awesome!!!! Looks like if it gets enough direct light today the flower will bloom.  If it is close enough to a good grow light or gets enough direct sunlight at the right time for long enough it should open it appears.

@starfirejem that pony tail palm looks so cool.  I haven’t seen any growing all cool like that. I already liked those plants but yours looks even better than most. A local nursery has a big old tall one, but it still isn’t growing the leaves as cool.

@SirLiquorice thank you! That's the nicest compliment I've ever had on my plants. That palm has like 5 different growth points, and they all seem to be kicking into overdrive right now. My cat was obsessed with it for a while and really ruining the leaves, but she magically stopped after I filled the shelf around it with cacti 🤭

@starfirejem yep I had to do the same to protect my plants from the stray cats that live out front.  Most everything is cacti and I had to put a cage around the plants that weren’t cacti.  Even still I catch the kittens trying to fight the spike on a cactus or scratching and rubbing themselves on one.  Sometimes they break some pads off one and they knocked over my elephants foot before so I anchored that down with permanent duct tape and big rocks.  You can see the rocks I put under the stand.  They just immediately started to play on the rocks

@starfirejem it’s pretty cool that it has 5 different growth points like that.  I haven’t seen one do that.  I wonder if it’s because the cat damaged it.  Most of the time the damaged plants end up growing to be the coolest ones because they grow much cooler and more unique than normal ones.  Damaged plants can be the best.  People will even purposely damage cacti with a hot nail so it grows pups unnaturally as a recovery mechanism.  Ends up looking really cool

This one just won’t stop with the flowers.  Crazy that I can continually make more.  It seems like it should’ve run out of room by now but it constantly blooms. Always getting bigger and growing more.  It was a tiny ball September of last year.

#freshleaffriday is bringing me more growth on my wet stick Baltic blue pothos props courtesy of three weekly applications of rooting powder starting in late July. 🌱  Plus, look at my little baby lemons! 🍋 getting ready to set up my indoor growing station for my formerly outdoor summer plants including this meyer lemon and an olive tree!
