I don't know what type this is!!! Please help!!!#plantadd...
I may have acquired this plant on my way off campus......I wasn't really sure she would come back but she has and I'm not sure what type of plant she is.
So far she has small leaves with pinkish spots and also grows upwards right now.

They lose their spots and turn green when they don't get enough light. Based on how insanely elongated that one is, I'd say it's definitely not been getting enough light lol. Honestly, I'm shocked it's still supporting itself! I'd suggest cutting it close to where I marked in red (just below a leaf node), rooting in water, then transferring back to soil once its roots are a few inches long.
@PlantJedi hi Miguel you donβt know me but you are friends with @PoisedAlbo and i LOVEπ€©β¨π±! I feel like you might have this one in your collection buttt Miguel yours is bigger I think? The pink and green one π₯Ήβ¨π± trying to help!! :) @EpitomeBlinks best of luck! Iβm sure weβll get this plant identified ππ₯³
AHHH YOU ARE AMAZING!! @stephonicle INCREDIBLEπ₯³π€©β¨ another plant identification in RECORD TIME!!! For the books!! Eek!! Can she get an award PLEASE! @RJG
@Prentyce LOL girl you kill me π Usually I suck at ID'ing plants, but if you zoom in you can clearly see pink spots on that one leaf.
@TheConservator @EpitomeBlinks @Prentyce Here are some current pics of my polka dot plant. Look familiar? π Other than the pink spots, I recognized it because of those distinctive stem segments. I'm holding up the one stem because it's too long to support itself. That's why I was shocked yours was somehow still upright π
Yup at first i wasntsure they were pink in his pic lol But if u zoom in all the way they def are! @stephonicle But i am curious why you dont just chop that leggy stuff off ? You have new growth coming up so pruning it back woukd just give that more energy
@TheConservator darn it, you called me out on my "do as I say, not as I do" hypocrisy ππ Kidding, kidding! Unfortunately it's not very high on the ol' plant priority list these days. Maybe come spring I'll have time to bring it back to its former glory βΊοΈ
