Just got him deliveredโ€ฆ.

I just got him delivered today (got him from the shop). He was in transit for a few days. Is he dead? Thereโ€™s a couple black/brown ones on him. I put him under a light, to see if that helps. I also have a grow light I can put him under, but if I need to do that, do I use the red or blue lights or both? His soil is soaked, so they watered him good. Just donโ€™t want him to die. Also want to know when I can put him in a different planter? I got one with drainage and a saucer underneath, but I donโ€™t want to move him too soon and shock him. #CarniverousPlants #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

I just got a clearance one from Lowe's, so I dont know much. But, it says they like direct sunlight for 6 hours, so that will help with water soaked. I also read they grow well in peatmoss and perlite. ans moist, but not wet or soggy.
Your Plant is BEAUTIFUL ๐Ÿ˜
When the leaves close on a food source, they stay closed as they absorb the nutrients and then eventually die, turning black. This plant is very much alive and well fed! When the leaves are completely black, you can trim them or wait until the stem also turns black and dry.
Oh also, red & blue lights arenโ€™t really necessaryโ€”you can use full spectrum white grow lights or just put it in direct sun in a window.
