Too Late to Train?
My monstera got really unruly. I know now that I should have started training it to climd a moss pole, but Iโ€™m afraid it may already be to heavy to correct it. I tried to show in the pictures, but most of the growth is horizontal. Should I try to repot it in the spring and reorient it? Or try to take some cuttings and start them right?

I see two possible options. 1. Loosely anchor it vertical. Over time it will take on the support of the moss pole. 2. Leave these leaves / vines horizontal and train the new growth. Youโ€™ll not have to worry about the bottom looking bare. ๐Ÿ˜Š
@AidynGemini I agree with @VisYn. I need to do that with my two Monsteras, they already have moss poles I just need to start training the the new growth as well.
Awesome! Thank you both!
@KikisOasis haha coincidentally my other half bought a 3D printer. My first project was a plant pot, the second a moss pole ๐Ÿ˜‚
@VisYn Thatโ€™s really cool! Iโ€™ve got a lot of 3D printed things for my pets, but never thought about stuff for plants.
This is not a right/wrong situation. Lots of people- me included!- let them go natural instead of training on a moss pole or other support. Itโ€™s about personal preference and space. They like poles, and can mimic natural habitats, but it isnโ€™t the โ€˜rightโ€™ or only correct way by any stretch.
