I would guess not enough humidity. Has it really been three MONTHS since it was watered? That’s what the info card says… If so, I’m thinking it’s dehydrated AF.
@KeenSourcherry This could be a sign of underwatering. Do you spritz the plant with water to create a humid environment? Dry air can also cause the leaves to get crispy.
This is my aluminium plant It looked like yours when I brought it home from not enough watering from the store it's looking way better since I repotted and regular water now
@HisLobster no I forget to update this app when I water my plants it's only be a few days since it's been water
@theloveofplants I mist my plants daily if not every other day
@KeenSourcherry Have you inspected the root ball?
@theloveofplants I have not pull it out of the pot yet
@KeenSourcherry If all the other things are matching up to your routine (watering on the right schedule, humidity is correct, and light is good) then I usually go to the root to see if there is a problem.
@theloveofplants I took it out of the pot and there were very little roots compared to soil in the pot but the roots looked healthy. I took out the extra soil and added vermiculite as I don't have any smaller pots and am considering getting the stuff to make a pebble tray for it
@KeenSourcherry okay, good to know the roots looked healthy. When you choose a pot size, I have heard, the rule of thumb is to get the pot based on the size of the roots, not the plant. When you have too much dirt and not a lot of roots. It is easier to get root rot. So taking out the extra soil was a really smart move!
@KeenSourcherry Whew! I was gonna say, that’s one adaptable and forgiving plant!! LOL Everything else you and @theloveofplants have been discussing sounds right to me. Really curious to see how this guy does, so keep us posted, please!
