@RevealingCowpea Brown spots can happen for a few different reasons on a Fiddle Leaf Fig. If you can share one, we’d be happy to dig in!Tagging @Costafarmsteam as well for an extra piece of expert advice. πŸŒ±πŸ’š
Make sure to never overwater your plant, and that any excess water drains out of the pot after watering. Small brown spots can appear on Fiddle leaf figs when the plant absorbs more water than the leaves can transpire. The cells burst and turn into this color. This can happen many times throughout the life of the tree and is even expected on these plants.
@CostaFarmsTeam my leaves are starting to turn brown and I'm following every step of this plant watering app! So should I water it less often I don't get it?
@FabBegonia39 I have found that the app isn’t exact on watering. It’s pretty close but I think it would be nice if it let you set the days for reminders or allow it to suggest. My fiddle leaf likes to get pretty dry between watering. Not fully, but I use a water meter and when the bottom is the only area showing moisture, I water. I don’t have to use the meter much anymore. I can tell by looking at it and feeling the weight.
@Dawgfreak wow that is awesome feedback and very much appreciated cause like I mentioned in a different post I am very unexperienced in this world!
