Not growing and new brown spot :(
#LipstickPlant I got this lipstick plant a few months back and it seems like itβs stagnant. I think itβs hardly grown in the time Iβve had it and no new leaves or buds. And I looked this morning and it has a new brown spot π

If the leaves or leaf edges become brown, chances are that you have it in a spot that has too much sunlight or it's receiving too little water. If you see a reddish-brown mass having the consistency of a spider web, treat the plant with a fungicide.
Light. Lipstick plants appreciate bright but filtered light. Too much direct sunlight can cause leaf scorch, and too little will result in a poor display of flowering and leaf drop.
***Looks like your plant is in direct sunlight, move it to receive bright but filtered lighting. The brown spot is probably sunburn on that leaf.

@KikiGoldblatt thank you!! I will try moving it farther from the window and see if that helps :)
@allisonmarie27 your very welcome.
I feel you!! When I got my lipstick plants, I thought they were doing NOTHING. I gave them EVERYTHING.
But I'll tell you a secret: this is one of those watched-pots-never-boil plants. I promise.
This plant wants to dry out. It wants to be slightly neglected. It's taken months and months and months on end, but I now see growth! I can really see how far they've come once I look back at pictures.
They are slow growers. All of my plants are in west facing windows and they have the beautiful sunstress to prove it.

@sarahsalith thatβs so good to know! I thought it was hating me π Iβll be more patient with it and maybe take some progress pics to look back on along the way π₯°
@allisonmarie27 pictures help me see how far the plants have come. Especially that first one- the Pink Thai Lipstick. It was two stems FOREVER.
