My poor girl is bent out of shape and seems to have roots...

#Echeveria
3ft to light, indirect
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 week ago
My grandma has one of these and she always used to put a wooden stick in the middle of the soil right down to the root and wrap the root around it and tie it to the top! to get back its structure, not sure if this helpsπŸ˜ƒ
It’s etiolated meaning it’s stretched out. Succulents stretch in search of light when they do not receive sufficient amount of light. There is no way to correct the stretched parts unfortunately. You could try chopping and propping it to make it grow more compact by giving it a lot of bright direct light because echeverias need A TON of direct sunlight to keep their compact form. Alternatively, you can supplement it with a strong grow light.
It has stretched due to lack of light. Unless it gets a huge boost in sun light all summer, it will probably stay droopy like that. Trimming it down and placing it in a bright window sill should let it grow as tightly knit as it should be.
@kimbiechele, @OrangeGrass and @Kingdoubletap1 are right and they gave good advice so I won't repeat what they said but, I just wanted to add an idea. If you're not comfortable with a chop and prop (some people aren't) there was a fellow Gregger on here who instead used a beautiful little trellis. I personally would just prop it, then you have 2!
Thank you for your suggestions. Where do you all think the best spot to prop it would be?
Looking at it @kimbiechele, you could make multiples. I'd recommend somewhere around the two or three leaves up from the bottom area. And if you cut there, it'll be long enough to cut more.
