Confessions of a Lamby Drama Queen

This baby was thriving! And then one day it decided to be a drama queen. I can’t seem to get it right. It’s growing and also droopy. It seems to like water twice a week unlike recommendation. Hates the sunny Florida outdoors. It’s not dying but it’s a constant worry. Suggestion? #Stachys #lambsear #HappyPlants
0ft to light, direct
8” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 years ago
Mine is a drama queen as well and it took a couple of months to get used to her routine.

Water only when the soil is significantly dry. I also trim the brown leaves to keep it from overcrowding. It can cause stress on the plant, root rot, and slow growth. They also love full to partial sun. Just be careful with direct as it can scorch its leaves.

It also looks like your plant may be ready to repot! Check the roots. Are the roots showing from the bottom?

Also, not sure if *this* could be the problem, but is the tag in the plant impeding or in its way?
@kscape so I took your advice I bought a new pot haven’t moved her yet. But I have a question about your Lamby.

Greg suggests every 5 days water. Day 4, she’s a total droop but the soils is still a little moist about 2in in. How oven does your Lamby need water?
@Mappylikehappy There must be something with your drainage! I use potting mix and a handful of perlite for my medium and I make sure it’s all mixed.

I usually water only the top 1-2 inches of soil. Mine is drought-tolerant since it has been extremely hot here in TX, so it needs very little water. I only water once every week, and mine is in a 5” pot.
@kscape I wanted to give you an update! Look how good she’s doing. She loves the new pot. I got the watering schedule down. Thanks for all the help!!
@Mappylikehappy ahh!! She looks amazing! Im so happy my advice was able to help! πŸŒΏπŸ’š this made my day honestly😊
