Hi Adele, can you give a little info on your watering habits, location to light and if you fertilize at all? What color are the shriveled areas? Started yellow to brown or straight to brown?
@RewardableApple hi, thank you! I will upload a photo tomorrow. My azalea was planted around March/April time and was planted at the time with an acidic soil. As I say grown significantly since planting and has done well. I water every day/every other day but every leaf seems to have drooped and looks shrivelled. Colour is very much the same green/red as when I planted. My stem looks strong and healthy and cannot see signs of infestation (other than the odd slug). I wonder if the unusual weather in the UK has been difficult with it being so warm and sunny and suddenly windy/rainy. Leaves haven’t fallen off so will continue to water as usual/ a little extra and hope it comes back!
@RewardableApple here are some photos
Here’s a photo from around 4 weeks ago where the leaves are much more perky
Hi! beautiful blooms! I can't tell here - but I will say ground cover is a great idea to maintain lower soil temps & maintain moisture levels as you water as they do love an even moisture level and hate drying out, at all.

Your watering schedule looks great.

They like morning sun, afternoon shade as too much hot sun or in the hot temps can make for crispy leaves and more prone to pests.
Leaf galls, petal blight, rust and leaf spots can also be caused by fungus and can be treated with copper-based fungicides; copper hydroxide, thiophanate-methyl or chlorothalonil.
