Help!!!

#RoseOfJericho I just got her from Greg give back. I am totally lost on how to take care of her. She is dry right now. I’m hoping someone can tell me the steps to pot her in some soil. I hope she can go into soil. #greggivesback #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #plantproper @JCPlantProper
2ft to light, direct
8” pot without drainage
Last watered 1 week ago
@sarahsalith should know! I think you put it in water
Hi! I can’t tell if it’s a true or false rose of Jericho. But you get a plate or shallow tray that’s about twice the diameter of the rose. Put just a little filtered water in it, and put the bottom of it in the water. Within a few hours it’ll open up!

It’s best to let them be open and green for a few days, but let it dry out (and curl back up into a ball) once a week. Also watch for mold on the bottom where it sits in water. Have fun! They’re so damn cool. 😍😍😍
Hi, Jonchel! You want to make sure to hydrate it maybe every month or so. The best and fastest way is to drop it in a fish tank or a bowl of water overnight.

Sadly, that particular RoJ doesn't do well in a pot. I have already tried. It doesn't have a root system for soil. You'll get a mostly brown plant.

Thanks for the tag, @JCPlantProper
@RealSimpleMama it's a false RoJ. I'm still looking for a true one!
@AnthuriumQueen had a detailed post about these. I can’t find it. Maybe if someone else remembers her post they could tag you in it.
Thank you @sarahsalith @RealSimpleMama I’m going to try it
@AnthuriumQueen wow that was powerful and well needed @JCPlantProper #greggivesback knew what they were doing with my box πŸͺ΄β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
I got one for a giveaway as well. I have in small bowl resting on tiny rocks I got at dollar tree. Pour water in only to the roots. As it sits an absorbs the water it opens. Don't keep it consistently wet tho. Too much cud kill it. Let it dry an fold back up wen water is gone. Being dry wnt kill them. They are considered tumbleweeds!! Wen u water again, it will again unfurl! It's pretty kewl to watch throughout the day. One of my husband's faves of all my plants!!
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selaginella_lepidophylla. Here is a link with a lil info. Pretty interesting!
They are cool plants. I had like 4 of them. After a while I got bored with them and gave them away. Guess I like dirt plants rather than floating water plants πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ.
@terrbear1965 I’m a dirt type of girl but imma try it.
Here is mine, I put it in a terrarium and spritz it everyday. It actually has gotten bigger! πŸ¦‹πŸͺ΄πŸ„πŸ
@FitBrowallia I just saw this last mention. I’m not sure why it didn’t show up before. I’m sorry I didn’t see it sooner. I just happened to scroll and saw the RoJ and thought to read comments.
@AnthuriumQueen no problem I just put it in water this week. Here it is simply gorgeous
@FitBrowallia 😍😍😍
