Leaves dropping and turning yellow

Hello, I've always had a problem with my creeping fig leaves. They easily drop. What can I do to fix this?
2ft to light, direct
9” pot with drainage
Last watered 3 days ago
I GOT β€˜CHEW! I’m glad you found Greg and I’m glad I saw your post!!

These cool creeping plants HATE to dry out. I mean absolutely LOATHE to dry out. They get crunchy and then lose their leaves and throw in the towel.

I keep my creeping ficus plants in water, believe it or not.

Those are my #StringOfFrogs

Let me get some more pictures for you. (:
In the first picture, you can see that I have it in a blue pot. Inside that blue pot (which has a crack in it) I have a ziplock baggie taped to the rim so I pour the water inside the baggie. I just place the creeping fig, nursery pot and all, in the blue pot. All I do it pour water in the pot when Greg reminds me to water.

Something I have noticed is that the green and white creeping figs are a little pickier about their light than the all green ones.

I wish you all the best! If you have more questions, please tag me. (:
Thanks a lot. Ever since I got it, it keeps losing leaves easily. I'm not sure if I should move it away from the grow light or keep it close since they love direct light. It's been hard because it's so picky. I've never thought about the baggie idea. Thanks. I'll try that out. 😊
I wonder do they need a humidifier? It seems there are a lot of dry creeping figs. I don’t have one but I have a calathea and it’s finicky and gets dry without a humidifier. I wish you the best. πŸ€ͺβ€οΈπŸŒ±πŸ™ŒπŸ’•
