We have squirrels that like to bury nuts in my outdoor potted flowers then come back in the fall and dig them up. Is there anything I can use to discourage them?

There are granules made from coyote urine. Don't worry they don't stink. Comes in a shaker canister usually. Just shake it on the tops of the pots . Bad news is it needs reapplied every few weeks or after rains.

Are option 2 is chicken wire cut out around the plant and placed in the pots before huge growth starts
