Are poinsettias really more than a holiday plant?

#Euphorbia hello errbody! Are these plants more than just a holiday stunner? Is it possible to keep them as a houseplant for years? I know nothing about them other than the holiday time decoration. Is it worth repotting them to clay pots and trying to keep them for longer then the season?

yess, they are threes! They are beautiful, the do only bloom during winter but they guve leaves and grow the rest of the year!
