Say hi to my new string of pearls #Succulent! Sheโs thriving with a new grow light and a newly installed room thermometer to keep an eye on her temp in these cold NYC winters. Any tips are appreciated! Especially on watering!
@RJG thanks for the shoutout!
@RJG, what a surprise, ๐ฅนmany thanks!
@TenableAtom love that pot! My only advice for the string of pearls is to bottom water, since the pearls can rot when they sit on damp soil.
@stephonicle nice, thanks for the advice! Yes the pot is super fun - a present from my mom!
@YernCandleplant what kind of plant is this? What happened to the stem, did it rot?
Theyโre all so beautiful!! Congrats to @stephonicle @SuperblyLilac @MW_Kaktushaus @NikkiBplantmom @SwiftMedeola
Hereโs my #WhatTheSuccWednesday addition ๐คฃ๐. The OG SOP cascading down to meet up with one of her props + a tiny succ ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฑaeonium ๐
@TenableAtom beautiful SOP! Make sure she gets plenty of light. The pearls get further apart and not very plump when thereโs not enough sunlight. I top water mine because theyโre shallow rooted and Iโve found bottom watering puts too much moisture in the soil that the plant canโt utilize. A lot of people advise bottom ๐ฆ ๐ฆto avoid water on the pearls which if left long enough could lead to rot. But I go very slowly, like a dribble at a time and let that soak in before I add more.
@grateful_68 thank you! ๐ฅฐ
@SuperblyLilac Wow! Beautiful flowers! @stephonicle oh, sorry for your death bloom, I think there's a way to propagate that aeonium. @MW_Kaktushaus wow! What an uncommon looking cactus!!! @NikkiBplantmom beautiful hawortia!!! @SwiftMedeola good looking flowers! Wery cool! Beautiful plants everyone this week! Great job! I just have some little growth on my lithops and pleiospilos seedlings, I don't know why but the Conophytum Calculus just don't wanna grow \_(โข-โข)_/ they germed, that's already a success but now they stay at 1 mm diameter
@ToMuchPlants it's all good! My post was all about how "death bloom" isn't as bad as it sounds lol. That particular aeonium has produced tons of offsets, some I've already replanted and some still attached ๐ฅฐ
@MariansOasis wow! Canโt wait for my SOP to grow like that.
@MariansOasis awesome advice! Thanks!!
@TenableAtom I love them and I adore the book planter! Where did you get it?
@ZingyGuapilla you have at least 10 different plants there. The one with the spiderweb looking thing on it is a cobweb, hens and chicks.
