Growth ?

I got this Florida beauty for my birthday in April. It put out one new leaf which broke, along with the growth point. Do I have to chop this now to promote growth?? It’s been a month and I see no signs of growth. It also has thrips 😭😭😭 currently treating for that but just wondering if I should keep waiting it out? Will it eventually push a leaf from another growth point? Pic of the entire plant and of where the growth point was that broke. Thanks! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #RarePlants #Philodendron
My rubber tree has a similar problem, however after a while (abt a year) of hoping it would fix itself. It still didn’t grow normally it did grow more leaves and taller but slower than some of my other plants.

PLEASE NOTE:this is my experience with a rubber tree so it may be different from your plant
So frustrating 😫
Yeah it really is. I would say your best option at the moment is to make sure you are doing all the things you need to do for your plant and see where it goes from there
@Nicksplants trying my best 😫 I hate when it’s the wishlist plants that struggle but meanwhile my cheap plants are living their best life lol
Yeah the dandelions are really just like: concrete is dirt!(meme I saw) but any of my other plants are needing to be treated as pretty princesses
@Nicksplants πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ that’s great
Grazie ci provo davvero. (Thanks, I try really hard)
I am fairly new to keeping houseplants alive. My daughter in law has used a growth hormone paste. She has applied it to growth points on different plants. It seems to promote quicker growth. If I understand there are no other growth points on the main plant. I am sorry to hear that this happened. It is very frustrating.
I’m also fairly new but I agreee that sounds like a good idea
@WholeTitanarum great minds think alike! I applied it to the one point I can see. Fingers crossed it works!
