The rule of thumb is 1-2 inches larger than the root ball
Hi Wanda! I noticed you’re at Four Mile? Thats awesome- I was stationed at Fairbanks. LOVE Alaska!!!
Ok, Jessica is right- 1-2 inches only. Money trees are pretty susceptible to root rot, so you don’t want to go too big- or too quick. They don’t like to sit in water and large pots will retain more water. When you go to repot- check the roots to see if they’ve put a rubber band around them- if they have- take it off immediately as keeping it on will kill the plant. My first tree- I didn’t know and it died. Your money tree is beautiful- whatever you’re doing- it’s loving it. ☺️
